well things have gone a lot better in last few months , mostly sng on pokerstars for stakes on Stake-a-Shark , first buy-a-piece(bap) was up $400 & second up $300

been running pretty well on 27man sng & winning 4 of them for $100 each + doing well on fifty50 which is a new type sng on pokerstars where 10 players start & 5 gets paid , 50% of prize money is split 5 ways & other 50% is split bepending on chips that you end up with

we challenge for april , being 100 games of $10.60 fifty50 on pokerstars , total buy-in for this is $1060 & hope to return around $1300 for it , doing challenge against member of http://www.tcbpokerforum.com/index.php called teachai who is doing 100 sng on fulltilt poker , will update when challenge is over

about time for update

Last year was the worst year I had in poker , almost busted my bankroll for first time ever , not ever been able to get back into what I done good in past years .

This year been trying few things new , Knockout sit-n-goes plus 90man challenge against person I known for 5 years on the poker forums called Sax , neither of these went well + team challenge on poker forum http://www.tcbpokerforum.com which been member for 3 years

One thing that has helped me over the years is being Staked to play & for some reason tend to play lot better with other peoples money , for this reason started a stake on http://www.stakeashark.com/vbforum/index.php to last 4 weeks , starting with $300 & intending to play the new fifty50 sng on pokerstars , these are 10 player sng with 50% of payout going to top 5 players & other 50% depending on chip stacks at end of tourney , the sng replaced the double-or-nothing on pokerstars at end of feb

after two weeks have doubled bankroll to $600 & hope to finish with around $1000 & maybe a lot higher with playing few big tournaments on pokerstars

With the WSOP on its been very good watching all the English players doing so good with 5 braclets won this year and several good finishes

Few years ago on StakeaShark , a young 19 year old played & won a FTOPS of poker event for $48,000 , this year Jon Spinks had his first cash & now playing the main event so hoping he does well

Myself am just finishing my third BAP(buy-a-peice) on StakeaShark this year , first one went well & almost doubled it but the second could only break even covering all my games on PokerStars for 4 weeks , the third BAP has not gone to plan & know I am not playing well

For this reason I am going to take a break from poker after this weekend , have loads to do around my house + Cornwall is nice this time of year , one other thing I need to do is change my car , old one I have owned for 5 1/2 years , been thing about getting a new Vauxhall Insignia but price is putting me off a bit & get a few year old Vectra instead

Intend to take a look at what has changed in my poker & what is going wrong , two years ago was making over $10K per year & has changed to strugle to break even , the game has changed but most the problems are myself , some to do with my health but not the only reason , want to study poker & improve my game plus been dream to start playing some live events , the WSOPE has a smaller buy-in game & tempted to play it or maybe a Dusk-to-dawn event or BoylePoker IPO

New challenge to get my A game back

With so much happening this year so far , poker has come down bottom of list but at last hope to get back into playing tourneys again , so posted on http://www.stakeashark.com/ for idea's for new BAP (buy a piece) & going to play Stake for $300 & this will cover all my MTT/sng on pokerstars for next month

For some reason I seem to play better with other peoples money , not realy sure why but all my big cashes have come around time that I played BAP's / Stakes on StakeaShark but think its because I tend to consitrate a lot better

This sold out very quick with myself taking third share in this myself so give it better value for me , & first game in this was a $11 multi table sng which I won for $100 , so good start & only 29 days to go in this , plan to turn it into min $1,000 by the end of it

hardly played any poker over last month , still got loads to sort out with brothers estate

one good bit of news for me is that at last we have sold a Bungalow that belonged to my Brothers & Sisters in St.Stepen Cornwall and got nice cheque for it , did intend to reload my bankroll for fist time ever but still not on my A game & will stick to doing a Chris Ferguson for now

Did do a BAP on stakeashark which went ok & almost doubled & may do another in the next few weeks , have staked few players on StakeaShark but most is like kiss of death to them taking my money

had even thought about giving up poker but dont think I could realy but would if not winning , did try pokertracker for pretty much first time & can see advantage of HUD's & wish poker sites would ban them but may have to join them , playing only few tables like I do & it dont matter so much but players give me to much respect & blame it on the HUD's

few more weeks & will try get back into playing & hope to get my A game back & win some tourneys again

other things so much more important in life than poker

started doing this $0-$10K but last few weeks every thing gone wrong with winning $30/day , around the 17th went down with bad cold & not able to play much online but at least had young Jake Cody to watch winning the €5000 NLH main event at EPT Deauville

also decided to play BAP on StakeaShark.com playing 15 games of $11.00 mtt sng ( 27 & 45 man ) with 60/40 to backers + stakeback & winning over $300 from those games , never play it because need bankroll but find playing with other peoples money helps me focus on winning , nearly all the backers have staked me before so know how I play & chance of returning profit for them

the main reason I decided to do a Chris Ferguson challenge was because last year had loads going on away from poker & was affecting my results & need to get back & focus again ,
one thing is we were selling my late parents bungalow which they built in early 60s , there was few things with it like mine shaft in front garden so was sold at auction for £180,000 on 15/12/09 & finalised in last two weeks , to be split between my brothers & sisters

to our shock one of them , my Brother Keith died on the 30/01/10 age 56 , he loved his football & cars + steam/stationary engines & used to show his engines in the summers
when we were young we both had big motor bikes & used to ride each others all the time , mine being a Ducati 900 & he having a Honda 900 ,
still in state of shock with so much to sort out , enjoy my poker but time for break & take it up again when ready

Doing a Chris Ferguson 0-$10k

started last October on PokerStars which did not go well , got up to about $60 & busted it ,

decided to combine it with , my BoylePoker account and later with my FullTilt account

won $5 on BoyleBlog freeroll , got it up to $10 & played PokerShow tourney for $5.50 & forum game for $3.30 & won $25 on pokershow tourney in taking out a bounty + on BoylePoker promotion to play DoN sng at end of October , endded up playing just over 100 DoN in two days & winning $75 bonus for it , the promotion got well know because one player tried to take first & third & got found out by Boyle poker , big thread on Hendon Mob forum about it but has been removed

won few small tourneys + few second & third places so was able to transfer $50 on to PokerStars & FullTilt with current bankroll on three site in this around $700 from $0.00 in october

plan is to get close to my total profit for 2008 by end of 2010 & making $10K , decided to set myself small challenge for next few weeks and average $30 profit a day , mostly playing fixed limit cash on $0.50/$1.00 , with $30 a day over year would make $10K but until get back playing big MTT's & head is better place to play them & not tolt so much will stick to small tourneys

will plot graph to show how it doing on next update & just plan for now to build bankroll up slowly & at least get to $1K by end of month , just not sure I got the dicipline for the challenge
